YES! Welcome to our first Harry and Ron FUH Q FEST!

And joining a fest has never been easier! All you have to do is pick your prompt and write it!

There are prompts for every taste under the sun. We are the Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans of prompts!

There are a few simple, easy to follow rules. Please read them carefully before making a claim. And let the fun start!

RULES:

1. Each prompt may be claimed no more than twice, and each author/artist may claim up to two prompts. Once you've finished your prompts, you may come back and claim another.

2. The stories must have a minimum of 1,000 words, with the exception of drabbles and poems, which have a minimum of 100 words (Though I won't make a word count so one word more or less won't be the end of the world).

3. This is a Harry and Ron festival, which means that your secondary pairings should be secondary. Use your common sense, and if in doubt, contact the mod.

4. To claim a prompt, leave a comment with the specific challenge you want to claim. Please copy the challenge number and premise into your comment to avoid confusion. The mod will respond to your comment to confirm your claim. First to comment, first claimed. Please be sure to specify if you are going to work on a piece of art; we will accept two art claims in addition to the two fic claims for each prompt.

5. You must follow the prompt that you claim. Sometimes a story takes an unexpected turn. If your story suddenly doesn't fit your claim, contact the mod so they may reopen that prompt for others to claim.

6. There are no rules for rating, genre, etc. You have free reign, as long as you follow the other rules listed here.

7. You may not post a fic that you wrote for another challenge, nor a fic that you have already posted to harry_and_ron (or any other board) before, even if it fits a premise perfectly. You may post a fic you've already started previous to this FQF, but only if it does not conflict with the aforementioned guidelines.

8. If at any time you decide you are unable to complete the challenge you claimed, LET THE MOD KNOW. Then we can reopen the prompt for someone else to claim.

9. Collaborations between two or more authors are allowed. The collaboration will count as one claim. You may have a challenge claimed for yourself while at the same time having one claimed for you and a friend to write. However, you must comment with the name of the person you will be writing with.

10. When you post your fic, you will need to link to this post and state your prompt in the fic heading. PLEASE do this so that people understand what they're reading, as well as why you're writing. If your fic consists of unrequited love, character death (by this, I mean the death of Harry or Ron), or the usual squicks discussed in the community's userinfo, you MUST warn for them in your header, or under an lj-cut it at the end of your fic. All stories must go behind a cut bellow the header. This is how you make a lj cut.


11. You may start posting your stories/art as soon as you finish with them. The fest officially starts right now and will end August 27. Which is to say, you can start posting today until the deadline!
